A bit about me...

Untitled photo

I’ve been taking photos since I was a kid. My first camera? A Kodak Brownie Hawkeye.

Growing up in a family that moved often around the US and abroad, I had eleven different addresses by the time I graduated from high school - in Vicenza, Italy. My father was an avid photographer who recorded our travels, adventures and everyday lives on film. I'm deeply grateful to him for those visual memories, the precious evidence of my nomadic and fascinating childhood - and for inspiring my lifelong love for photography.

With roots in photojournalism, I thrive on variety. My career began working for newspapers in Boulder, Colorado, shooting different assignments every day - news, sports, features, portraits and more. After all these years, photography continues to introduce me to a fascinating array of people and places. Lucky me, indeed!

These days, I live north of Seattle in Bothell, Washington. I've called the glorious Pacific Northwest home since 1990, where I love sharing time with family and friends and playing outside in nature. I'm a gardener of flowers and food, mother of two phenomenal adult children, a practitioner of meditation and yoga, a volunteer in my community.
